In the eyes of her husband, Adji Darmaji, Mpok Alpa is truly a super woman. How could she not be? In the midst of her battle against breast cancer, this energetic comedian continues to show her professionalism by working and shooting.

Adji revealed that Mpok Alpa has a very strong life principle. For her, illness should not be pampered and must be fought by continuing to move and be active.

"If she's not active, the pain gets worse, she says. When she's active and meets her friends, she forgets about the pain, so she's really super," Adji said at their home on Saturday (16/8/2025).

This spirit is what makes many people unaware of Mpok Alpa's actual health condition. She will continue to go to work as long as her body is strong, because for her, staying at home will only worsen her pain.

"If she’s not in too much pain, she still walks, so her principle is 'don't pamper yourself if you have an illness.' Otherwise, it will only hurt more; keep moving, be active," she said.

Even two months before her passing, Mpok Alpa was still active on set. She only truly stopped all her activities in the last month, when her condition drastically declined and she had to undergo intensive care in the hospital.

"Two months ago (still active on set). But this month she is no longer. Because she was about to recover, we thought, 'let's not, we should treat her until Mpok drops and is taken care of,'" explained Adji.

Her attitude of not wanting to trouble others is also reflected in her daily life in the hospital. Although in a weak condition, she always tried to do everything herself as long as she was able.

"Yes (shortness of breath), because the person really couldn't stay still, the deceased said she had an illness and shouldn't be pampered. She didn't want to be given to others either, 'just let it be, if we can still do it ourselves, then let it be,' that's how she was," said Adji.

Her body, which still looks fit, is one of the reasons why many people do not suspect that she has a serious illness. According to Adji, Mpok Alpa indeed has a unique metabolism, where her weight can increase quickly even though she eats little.

"If she eats a lot, she quickly blooms, no one suspects she's sick because her body looks fresh, right?" she said.

Even after giving birth, Mpok Alpa focused on losing weight because she felt breathless. Her eating pattern is also very well maintained. This makes her physique still look fresh in the eyes of others.

"Yes, after giving birth, I was also losing weight because I felt breathless. My body was too big, and I also didn't eat too much from before. Most of the time, I just snack on chocolate," she explained.

The husband could only shake his head while reminiscing about how strong his wife was. While others might have already lain weak, Mpok Alpa continued to show her fresh skin and burning spirit.
