This has been directly confirmed by the agency representing the actress born in 1999, Stardust Promotion. She is also known to have stepped down from her position as the host of the radio program All Night Nippon X.

On Tuesday (15/04/2025), a reporter from Weekly Bunshun found actor Kim Mujun spending the night at Nagano Mei's residence before returning to South Korea. A few days later, the actress was seen meeting Tanaka Kei on April 19, 2025, at an izakaya, a place known for serving alcoholic drinks and simple dishes.

After spending three hours there for dinner, the two went to visit a bar located in the Roppongi area. The 40-year-old actor was reported to have appeared quite drunk at three in the morning in front of Nagano Mei's apartment entrance.

The next day, a reporter who knew Tanaka Kei's whereabouts interviewed him after he was caught leaving Nagano Mei's residence. When asked about his relationship with his co-star in AND SO THE BATON IS PASSED, Tanaka Kei replied that he was just a junior. He also denied any special bond between himself and the actress.

His response to the reporter's question about whether his wife knew he was there intensified the situation. Tanaka Kei revealed that his wife was unaware of it. According to him, if all these events were to come to light, Sakura would most likely just give advice like, "Don't let my husband cause trouble," to Nagano Mei.
