After the divorce ruling and being declared at fault for proven infidelity, Paula Verhoeven does not remain silent. In the legal process of her divorce from Baim Wong, Paula Verhoeven fights not only for her rights as a wife but also as a mother who wants to protect her children from the massive media coverage. According to Paula, the digital footprint that will always exist makes her feel responsible for her children's future.

"I do this to protect the mentality of my young children, who will eventually grow up and can access all the news about this," she said. /aal

"Actually, I am quite sad, because in my opinion, this slander has gone too far," said Paula when met at the Judicial Commission, Central Jakarta, Thursday (17/4/2025).

She even shed tears while mentioning her two young sons who have to grow up amidst the news about their parents' divorce.

"And here I have 2 sons (pauses, crying) whom I always protect their mental health," Paula said emotionally.

Paula stated that this legal step is taken solely to protect her children's future. "So for me, I do this for my children and my parents," she continued.

He also emphasized that during his marriage, he never cheated as widely reported. "I firmly state that there was no infidelity during my marriage," he asserted.

In fact, according to him, there is no evidence of infidelity that can be proven during the trial. "And there is also no evidence of infidelity presented in the trial," Paula added.

He also asked the public to understand his position as a mother who only wants to protect her family's honor. "So I hope, here I stand as a mother protecting my children. So I hope you all understand," she said.
