Kapanlagi.com - Karen Pooroe again visited the South Jakarta Metro Police Resort to inquire about the progress of her child's death case, Zefania Carina. She admitted that she has been very tormented because for two years now, her case has not been clarified.
As is known, Zefania Carina, the only child of Karen Pooroe and Arya Satria Claproth, passed away on February 7, 2020. She died after falling from the sixth-floor balcony of the apartment occupied by Arya in the Pondok Labu area, South Jakarta.
"I have been tormented enough by this case that has not been clarified until today. It has been too long, two years. The pain is still the same, there is no difference, my child passed away and the pain remains the same until today," said Karen Pooroe when met at the South Jakarta Metro Police Resort on Wednesday (22/9).
"I want to ask how far the process has gone as a mother, I have the right to know how far this case has progressed. What are the results of the autopsy on my child? I have been silent all this time, I don't want to build any public opinion. Because I still believe that the police will work well, work professionally. But until today, I am still waiting and there has been no progress at all," she continued.
After meeting with the Police, Karen Pooroe accompanied by several of her lawyers felt grateful because finally there was clarity that this case is still ongoing but there are still some obstacles.
"We are grateful to have been well received by Mr. Kasat and his team. We are also grateful that the process related to the death of Karen's child is still ongoing. However, the police friends requested time and even gave suggestions on how this case can have a good outcome, so we are also communicating with the police," explained lawyer Wemmy Amanupunyo.
Found in the same place, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of South Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Kompol Achmad Akbar, explained that the case of Zefania Carina's death is still ongoing and there are several facts that need to be uncovered.
"Earlier, we had a consultation with the complainant accompanied by several external parties. We explained that the case has been progressing quite well, but there are still obstacles in terms of the investigators' material," said Kompol Achmad Akbar.
"This is related to the construction of the criminal act or article used by our investigation team. So far, we haven't obtained strong evidence, so the investigators still feel the need to uncover other facts," he concluded.
