Nunung Reveals the Pain of Chemotherapy Effects, Remembers the Struggle of Mpok Alpa

As a cancer survivor, comedian Nunung Srimulat deeply understands the heavy struggles that her friend, Mpok Alpa, had to go through. She also shared her personal experience during chemotherapy, which she described as feeling extraordinarily painful.

According to Nunung, the effects of chemotherapy can vary from person to person. However, drastic physical changes such as hair loss and blackened nails are common occurrences.

"All of it has fallen out, you know, Sir. Eyebrows, and then what else, eyelashes. It's bald, I can't even keep a single strand," Nunung explained when met in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, Tuesday (19/8/2025).

"The nails have turned black like that. Sometimes, there are hands that can't take it, and their hands can turn black and blue like that," she added.
