Once Vincent Verhaag Loved to Party Until Late at Night, Now Prefers to Discuss Diapers

Kapanlagi.com - The life of the couple Vincent Verhaag and Jessica Iskandar has undergone a drastic transformation since having three children. If in the past they were known for spending time at night entertainment venues or partying late, now their priorities have completely changed. They still hang out, but with very different topics of conversation.

Vincent recounted how the atmosphere is when he and his wife meet with their friends now. Instead of discussing nightlife, they actually enjoy exchanging information about baby needs and parenting styles. This change happened naturally as their responsibilities in the household increased.

"We still hang out, just differently. Hanging out with other dads, not at a club but at places like this. Having nice coffee discussing, 'What diapers do you use? Oh, I use this diaper', 'What formula milk do you use? Oh, I use this', 'Oh, that girl's outfit is cute', something like that," said Vincent Verhaag when met by KapanLagi in the Darmawangsa area, South Jakarta, Friday (27/3/2026).

1. Actually, We Could Party Again

Even though physically they could still go out partying since the kids were asleep early in the evening, fatigue was the main consideration. Vincent admitted that waking up in the morning feeling sleep-deprived while having to deal with three very active children was a nightmare.

"Actually, it could be fine, but I’m at the stage where my wife is also at the stage of the next day. If we wake up not feeling fit and sleep-deprived and then have to face those three kids, oh my God, it feels like my head is going to explode. So it’s like 'Mommy, Daddy', and not just the first, but the second and third as well. So yeah, at this phase, we’re really in the phase of staying home taking care of the kids," he said.

2. Not Wanting to Lose Harmony

Nevertheless, Vincent and Jessica do not want to lose harmony as a couple. They still schedule special time for just the two of them amidst the busyness of taking care of the kids to stay united in their roles as parents.

"So we try to stay united as a family. Especially at this phase, the kids really need as much attention as possible. El is already at the age of discipline, but I don’t want to differentiate El from the younger ones. What El received yesterday is what the younger ones will also receive," he explained.

3. The Right Time to Focus on the Kids

Vincent feels that now is the right time to give full attention to his growing children. He enjoys every process of changing hangout spots and the lifestyle he shares with Jessica for the sake of their children's future.

"The kids are starting to grow up a bit, stay home Mom and Dad are going out for a bit, we want to have a nice drink first. So there are phases," Vincent concluded.
