Artist and influencer Isa Zega claimed to remain enthusiastic about observing fasting amid the legal proceedings she is facing. She participates in various religious activities during her detention at the Class II A Women’s Prison in Sukun, Malang City.

While attending a trial at the District Court (PN) of Kepanjen, Malang Regency, Isa revealed that Ramadan worship inside the prison is still full of meaning. She actively participates in various religious activities organized by the prison authorities.

"Stay enthusiastic (about fasting)," said Isa Zega while attending the court session on Tuesday (3/4/2025).

Even though he is behind bars, Isa continues to perform his worship with devotion. He participates in various Ramadan activities, such as reading the Quran, congregational prayers, and joining the Ramadan program regularly held by the prison authorities. "(The Ramadan activities) include Quran reading, boarding school, there are many activities, a lot," he said.

Isa also continues to observe fasting despite having to attend a hearing at the Kepanjen District Court. On Tuesday (5/3/2025), his hearing is scheduled for the reading of the exception (defense).

"Alhamdulillah, God willing, I will continue to fast. (Regarding the exception) it’s the lawyer who handles it, I just need to show up," he said.

Isa Zega is charged in a defamation case against the owner of the cosmetics company MS Glow, Shandy Purnamasari. In the previous hearing, on Tuesday (25/2/2025), the Public Prosecutor (JPU) charged Isa with a penalty of six years in prison.

According to the public prosecutor, Isa allegedly intentionally spread electronic information that harmed the complainant through the Instagram account @zega_real and TikTok @mami_online. The video posted by Isa on October 17, 2024, is suspected to contain defamatory elements against Shandy Purnamasari. "The video received more than 1,000 comments and has been viewed by more than 1,000 people," said prosecutor Ari Kuswadi.

Shandy Purnamasari, who is also the wife of Gilang Widya Pramana Juragan99, is aware that the owner of the account is Isa Zega, especially after Isa attempted to contact her on October 11, 2024, to arrange a meeting, but the invitation was declined.

"Based on that, the post is categorized as defamation that tarnishes the reputation of the witness Shandy Purnamasari," continued the prosecutor.

Isa Zega is charged with violating Article 45 Paragraph (10) letter a in conjunction with Article 27B paragraph (2) letter a of Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions (ITE).
