Poor Ferry Irawan, Venna Melinda Finally Wants to Advance the Engagement Date

"The closest preparation is the engagement on the 9th, and after that, we will proceed with the wedding," said Ferry Irawan when met at Pondok Indah Mall, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (2/2).

1. Reasons for Advancing the Date of the Proposal

Interestingly, Venna Melinda herself was the one who advanced the proposal event. It turns out that the reason is because she feels sorry for Ferry Irawan.

"Actually, we are still adjusting the date. The closest one is Abi's birthday on February 9, which includes my proposal," said Venna Melinda.

"Yes, because he has never had anyone celebrate his birthday, no one gives him gifts. He always celebrates his birthday alone. I just feel sorry for him," Venna Melinda continued.

2. Received Protests from the Wedding Organizer

Venna Melinda and Ferry Irawan admitted that they received protests from the wedding organizer because the event was too sudden. But in the end, everything could be carried out according to schedule, of course, with strict health protocols considering the current rise in Covid-19 cases.

"I did ask the wedding organizer. Initially, they were not ready for February 9th because it was too close. But I said, let's just do it, because Abi has never had a birthday celebration. Let's make it lively, so that Abi's family is complete, with the full team," she concluded.

3. Getting Married on the Beach

Because they are getting married on the beach, Venna Melinda and Ferry Irawan have made many preparations. She admitted that she was quite busy with various wedding preparations.

"Yes, we have to see the venue because the wedding ceremony is not in the mosque. So the wedding ceremony is after Asr prayer and then on the beach. Tomorrow, we and the wedding organizer will come and see the situation. If we get married on the beach, we have to prepare the officiant's table. After that, we will proceed directly to the reception, so there is not much time between the wedding ceremony and the reception, only a two-hour difference," she explained.

4. Nervous

Although this is her second marriage after divorcing Ivan Fadilla, Venna Melinda admitted that she still feels nervous. As is known, Venna Melinda married Ivan Fadilla in 1995 and divorced in 2013.

From their marriage, they were blessed with two children, Verrell Bramasta and Athalla Naufal. Now, Venna Melinda is ready to start a new chapter with Ferry Irawan.

"(Nervous) because the last time I got married was in 1995, and now it's 2022, it's been a long time. So I didn't expect it," she said.

5. Grateful

Venna Melinda is grateful that she and Ferry Irawan, as well as their mother, are still healthy until now, so they can accompany her in marriage later.

"The important thing is Alhamdulillah, we are still given good health, especially abi (Ferry) who is getting healthier day by day. Mama is also given good health to accompany," she concluded.
