Portrait of Nikita Mirzani Correcting Mail's Testimony in Court, Forgot About the Transfer of Tens of Thousands of Dollars

The trial of the case involving the name Nikita Mirzani once again presented drama at the South Jakarta District Court on Thursday (21/8/2025). An interesting moment occurred when Nikita Mirzani, as the defendant, was forced to correct the testimony given by her own friend, Ismail Marzuki.

Ismail Marzuki, commonly known as Mail, was presented by the Public Prosecutor (JPU) as a witness. However, his status in this case is also that of a suspect, just like Nikita.

In his statement before the panel of judges, Mail seemed to provide testimony that was slightly different from Nikita's version, particularly regarding the transaction of a certain amount of money. The 39-year-old actress immediately issued a rebuttal after the hearing.

"Yes, because Mail forgot. At that time, Niki did give 30, but in the form of dollars, it was not money from... not cash that Niki wanted," explained Nikita Mirzani, providing clarification.

According to Nikita, her friend was mistaken or forgot about important details regarding the giving of dollar bills. At that time, Nikita emphasized that the money was given in foreign currency, not rupiah.

Although she had to clarify her friend's statement, Nikita admitted to being satisfied with the overall testimony given by Mail. She emphasized that what Mail conveyed broadly aligned with the actual facts.

"Yes, that's just how it is," he said. For Nikita, the correction does not diminish the essence of Mail's testimony, which she considers honest and unmanipulated. She is confident that her friend did not convey any lies in the courtroom.

"So, there are no lies," he asserted. Meanwhile, Nikita's lawyer, Fahmi Bachmid, also confirmed that Mail's testimony actually clarifies the matter of this case. According to him, the statement proves that there was no element of extortion committed by his client.

"So everything is clear, there are no issues. They were happily giving money, even asking for help, pressuring Mail so that he could meet Nikita," Fahmi concluded.
