Rendy Samuel provides an open explanation after the judge officially ruled on his divorce from Shindy Fioerla. He responds to accusations labeling him as a 'mokondo' man or someone who lives off his wife, while also elaborating on his income background before and during the marriage.
"The first point regarding the statement that calls me a 'mokondo'. From the beginning of my relationship with Bunda Shindy, I already had a retail shoe business," said Rendy Samuel when met in the Cempaka Putih area, Central Jakarta, Thursday (13/8/2026).
In addition to the denial, Rendy explained that his family's source of income comes from the business unit that he manages himself. He also touched on the issue of spiritual support that arose in court, and explained his involvement in the skincare business that started from his ex-wife's invitation.

After the divorce ruling, Rendy emphasized that he never relied on his partner's income. From the beginning of their relationship, he already had an independent income sourced from a retail shoe business.
This clarification was made to respond to narratives that dragged his economic status. Rendy rejected the notion that he had no income while dating and marrying Shindy Fioerla.
This statement came alongside a detailed explanation of the business he has been running long before getting involved in the skincare sector. Rendy mentioned that this venture supports his life, including his family's needs.

Rendy elaborated on his role as the manager of the retail shoe business that serves as his financial backbone. From this business, he stated that he can meet the needs of his family and child.
"That business supports my child, and from it, I was able to buy a house in Tangerang. I also had a job in the entertainment world, which I paused when I got married to focus on the retail shoe business," said Rendy Samuel.
Outside of business, Rendy had briefly engaged in the entertainment world. He paused those activities when he got married to concentrate on developing his retail business.
Regarding the skincare business that later became known to the public, Rendy mentioned that his involvement began from an invitation from his ex-wife. He emphasized that the shoe business had already been running before entering that sector.
"Even when Shindy wanted to start a skincare business, she was the one who invited me. So I am confused about where the accusation of 'mokondo' comes from," he revealed.
Rendy questioned the emergence of accusations regarding financial dependence only after they separated. He stressed his position and role in the business that had already been a source of livelihood.
During the court proceedings, the issue of spiritual support was also highlighted. Rendy mentioned that there were reasons behind the situation and linked it to the presence of another man on the opposing side.
"The second point regarding the accusation of not providing spiritual support. There is a reason for that, because indeed Bunda Shindy has another ideal man," Rendy Samuel asserted.
In closing his explanation, Rendy asked the public not to jump to conclusions without looking at the data. He hopes that his household matter does not continue to be a negative consumption and chooses to focus on shaping the future.
"My hope is that the public does not assume without data and learns to see from both sides," he concluded.
