Revealed the Reasons Behind the Divorce of Pratama Arhan and Azizah Salsha

The divorce of Pratama Arhan and Azizah Salsha, which has now been officially finalized, raises significant questions about the cause. Although they were separated by distance due to Arhan's career in Bangkok, the main reason for their separation is more than just a long-distance relationship (LDR).

According to Arhan's legal team, this separation occurred based on a mutual agreement between both parties. Lawyer Adinda Dwi Inggardiah revealed that the decision to separate went through a family deliberation process, even though the divorce petition was filed by Arhan's side.

"Their relationship is actually still communicating well. Then, because this divorce is a mutual agreement. Although the one filing today is, this time, Arhan. But this has gone through family deliberation so it has become a mutual agreement to divorce," said Adinda at PA Tigaraksa, Monday (29/9/2025).

Singgih Tomi Gumilang, another lawyer for Arhan, emphasized that the desire to separate came from the agreement between Arhan and Azizah to continue their own lives. The divorce petition was only submitted to the court after that agreement was reached.

"One of them might be, the agreement one of them. The husband agrees with the wife to live their own lives. So our petition was submitted to the court after they agreed," he said.

The factors of LDR (long-distance relationship) and the fact that they have not lived together for more than six months become one of the legal grounds that qualifies for filing a divorce application under Islamic law.

"To our knowledge, the separation occurred because Mas Arhan signed a contract with (the club) Bangkok United. So, in terms of the timeline and the law, Islamic law has met the requirements to file for divorce. More than 6 months, indeed," he said.

In the petition or the content of the lawsuit, Arhan's side only requests that the Tigaraksa Religious Court grant the request for a single divorce (talak satu). There are no other claims accompanying the lawsuit, indicating that their main focus is purely on separation.

"The content of the lawsuit is for the petitioner, for the court, essentially the petition is for the Tigaraksa Religious Court to grant a single raj'i divorce against Mrs. Azizah Salsha. That's it," he concluded.
