Reza Gladys Has Arrived at the Court, Mediation with Nikita Mirzani Failed Due to Unfavorable Conditions

Reza's legal counsel emphasized that their client was present around the South Jakarta District Court, but did not enter the courtroom due to the situation being deemed unsafe.

Reza Gladys was present at the South Jakarta District Court on July 1, 2025, for mediation in the breach of contract case with Nikita Mirzani. Although Reza Gladys's legal counsel stated that their client was ready for mediation, the session had to be canceled due to demonstrations outside the courthouse area. The Reza Gladys team expressed disappointment over this postponement but remained ready to attend the next mediation.

"Earlier, our principal Dr. Reza Gladys came, but we prevented him because the conditions on the ground were not conducive," said Darsono, Tuesday (1/7/2025).

The legal representatives stated that Reza's presence was actually a form of compliance with the legal process. They believe that Reza's absence from the mediation room is not a sign of fear, but rather a decision made for safety reasons.

"So don't say that our client is afraid. Our client came but not inside the courtroom," emphasized Surya Batubara.

2. Reza Gladys Did Not Enter the Courtroom Due to Demonstrations

In fact, Reza's side considers the demonstrations taking place outside the courthouse as the main reason for not proceeding to the courtroom. According to the legal representatives, the courtroom is a place for law enforcement, not a political support arena.

"It was seen earlier this afternoon how the demonstration was. This is a court of law, not politics," said Robert.

Reza's side also mentioned that the mediation schedule had actually been agreed upon since the previous hearing, which was held at 9:00 AM. However, they regretted that Nikita's side did not arrive on time.

"We were already on standby here at 9 AM, but the plaintiff's side had not arrived by 9," explained Darsono.

4. Mediation Considered Ineffective

Furthermore, they believe that this mediation cannot proceed effectively because, until now, there has been no peace proposal sent by the plaintiff. Without a proposal from Nikita, Reza's legal counsel feels that the mediation is just a game.

"If there is no peace proposal from the plaintiff, then what is there to discuss in the mediation?" said Robert.

5. Reza Gladys's Party Requests Mediation to be Postponed

Reza's party also expressed their readiness if the mediation is rescheduled by the panel of judges. They hope that the mediation process can be conducted at a time separate from the criminal trial, so that they can focus and not mix the two.

"We request a postponement. However, we hope that the postponement does not coincide with the timing of this criminal case, so that we can truly focus on the mediation and make it clear," said Darsono.

6. The Possibility of Reconciliation is Very Small

However, they still emphasize that the possibility of reconciliation is very small, considering the contents of the lawsuit are deemed unrealistic and full of hallucinations. Nevertheless, they continue to follow the legal process in accordance with the Supreme Court regulations.

"We state that there is no possibility of peace. Nikita's party states that peace is impossible. It cannot be added to the impossible, as it is the same as the impossible," said Surya Batubara.
