The artist Nikita Mirzani couldn't hold back her tears while reading her defense note (exception) during the continuation of the trial regarding allegations of extortion and money laundering that ensnared her at the South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday (1/7/2025).

A touching moment occurred when Nikita conveyed the emotional reasons behind her tears. She admitted that she misses her children, whom she rarely sees now due to having to undergo legal proceedings.

He stated that he usually has a routine of dropping off and picking up the kids from school, as well as spending weekends together. However, all of that has changed since this case has entangled him.

"Yes, usually I pick up the kids from school, drop them off at school, and we definitely go out on weekends. The new school year is approaching, and I want to spend time with the kids during the holidays, but this case has gotten in the way," he revealed.

Nikita also expressed that now communication with the kids can only be done through video calls from inside the Pondok Bambu detention center. He regrets not being able to visit directly because the visiting hours and the kids' school schedule do not align.

"I can't meet the kids because at the Pondok Bambu detention center there are visiting hours, and the kids go to an international school, so they finish at 4 PM, and visiting hours are over by then," he said.

While reading the exception, Nikita expressed her gratitude to her lawyer, Fahmi Bachmid. She admitted that she saw a father figure in Fahmi as he read the defense note with great enthusiasm and confidence.

"Bang Fahmi, I also cried earlier when he read the exception because I saw that he was like my dad, I saw him reading the exception and it felt like I was seeing my dad's figure there," said Nikita emotionally.

Nikita also conveyed a touching message to her children, Azka, Arkana, and Loli. She asked them to stay strong and patient while waiting for her freedom so they could go on vacation together again.

"What I want to say is (holding back tears) be patient, Azka, be patient, Arkana, be patient, Loli too, big sister Loli too, keep your spirits up, this will be over soon, later we will go on vacation together," said Nikita.

As is known, this case originated from a report by beauty doctor Reza Gladys regarding allegations of extortion by Nikita's assistant, Ismail Marzuki, who demanded Rp5 billion to remove negative content.

After negotiations, Reza provided Rp4 billion, which became the legal basis for the determination of Nikita and Ismail as suspects since March 4, 2025.
