Ria Ricis Celebrates Eid Without Family, Still Warm Together with Moana

Even though it’s just the two of us, Ricis admitted that she is not too overwhelmed by sadness. She continues to engage in her usual activities so she doesn't feel prolonged loneliness.

"Not really, because from the first day of fasting until today, thank God, I have activities. So because there are many activities, I don’t feel lonely either. Plus, there are many staff and other friends as well, and after this, we are also going to the grave, we want to meet with other friends too. Thank God," she explained.

Ricis also interprets this year's Eid more deeply. "This year's Eid is very poignant even though it's just the two of us, but for me, it's okay to be lonely in the house as long as the heart is not lonely because there is Allah SWT," she said.

She emphasized the importance of keeping the heart full of faith, even though the surrounding conditions are not as lively as usual. For her, the presence of God is the main source of strength. Additionally, Ricis continues to carry out the Lebaran tradition, such as the ritual of asking for forgiveness, despite the limitations. She now takes on the role of a parent for Moana during this moment.

"Yes, this is just about to ask for forgiveness, but since her parents are not here, it’s just me as Moana's mother. That's it," she said.

This Lebaran also serves as a space for Ricis to reminisce about moments of togetherness with family in the past, which have now become cherished memories.

"Of course, of course. In fact, since yesterday, I've been looking at the last Lebaran photo I have with my dad, I've also been watching vlogs from the years when my dad was still around, and of course, those are unforgettable memories. I really miss him," she concluded.
