Singer Rony Parulian opens a new chapter in his music career with the work titled "Wals Akhir Zaman". Through this song, the talent show alumnus explores a more cinematic musical color with an alternative touch, while also collaborating with Petra Sihombing and Rendy Pandugo in his creative process.

According to Rony, this work represents the musical direction he wants to pursue moving forward. Not only does it present exploration from a musical perspective, but the song also serves as an introduction to themes that he will raise in future projects.

"This song represents the direction I want to take moving forward, both musically and narratively. Musically, 'Wals Akhir Zaman' introduces a more alternative and broader color compared to my previous works. Narratively, this song also serves as a gateway to the larger themes that will emerge in several upcoming projects, which are about love, struggle, and the choice to keep enduring in situations that are not always easy," said Rony Parulian recently.

Rony explained, "Waltz of the End Times" is not literally about the apocalypse. For him, the song depicts the commitment of two people who choose to stay together even in difficult situations.

"For me, 'Waltz of the End Times' is not about the end of the world in a literal sense. This song is about finding someone we still want to choose, even when things are not going well. The imagery of dancing in the midst of a crumbling world feels like a beautiful metaphor to describe that feeling," he said.

In the production process, Rony entrusted Petra Sihombing as the producer. Petra admitted that his main focus was to translate Rony's musical vision into appropriate arrangements.

"For me, what is more important is whether the song fits the direction it should go. We listened to each other a lot. The most important thing is to understand the direction the artist wants to take, because they are the ones who will continue to live with the song," said Petra Sihombing.

Not only Petra, Rendy Pandugo is also involved in writing the song and playing the guitar. According to Rendy, Rony has a strong vocal character that is quite different from other pop-rock singers today. "In my opinion, in this era it’s quite rare to find a singer with a voice and persona like Rony, especially in the pop-rock area. He is one of the most standout ones," said Rendy Pandugo.
