Project Pop Reveals the Meaning of 'Forever Young Forever Fun', Yosi Jokes About Wrinkles

Project Pop carries the theme "Forever Young Forever Fun" for their 30th-anniversary concert, as a symbol of the spirit of entertaining across generations. The theme Forever Young Forever Fun was chosen by Project Pop as the identity of their 30th-anniversary celebration concert to be held on August 8, 2026.

For the members, the slogan does not mean they want to look eternally young, but rather the spirit to continue entertaining across generations.

Udjo explains that the spirit of "young" refers to the same energy they had when Project Pop first appeared in the music industry. They want to continue sharing that spirit with the audience.

"And then, the issue of being young is actually just wanting to show that the spirit we want to share is not only for our generation, but for the youth as it was when we first performed these songs," said Udjo in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, Friday (10/07/2026).

On the other hand, Yosi Mokalu acknowledges that age certainly brings changes. However, he conveyed this in the typical humorous style of Project Pop.

"But from a distance, we are helped by fun songs, so we jump around. The movements are in sync. Behind the energetic performance on stage, there it is backstage," Yosi said jokingly.

Yosi even joked that the glasses often worn by the members have another function besides being an accessory. "So the glasses don't just help with vision, the frames cover up, yes, cover up wrinkles. This one helps a bit," he said.

Meanwhile, Gugum admitted that he is now enjoying the journey with Project Pop even more. He chooses to view his work as a form of recreation so that he can continue to perform with a joyful heart.

"Enough, I consider this work as just recreation. So now I feel comfortable, in fact, more and more comfortable. Oh, this is just continuous recreation," said Gugum.
