Ari Sampang Dangdut Academy 8 Wants to Follow in Irwan DA2's Footsteps

One of the participants of Dangdut Academy 8 from Sampang, Madura, Ari is inspired by one of the alumni of Dangdut Academy who also hails from the same city, Irwan. The 20-year-old young man successfully passed and performed on the grand stage of Dangdut Academy 8 Indosiar up to the top 53.

His journey to reach this stage was not easy. He revealed that he had tried to audition for Dangdut Academy from the fifth to the seventh season. And in this eighth season, he finally achieved his dream of performing on the Dangdut Academy stage.

"I feel Alhamdulillah very proud to have reached this moment and to be able to sing on the grand stage of Indosiar," Ari expressed when met at the Emtek Indosiar Studio on Thursday, (9/7/2026).

This sense of pride is also felt by family, friends, and neighbors who support his struggle in Jakarta.

One of the biggest reasons for participating in the Dangdut Academy stage is the alumni figure who inspires him, namely Irwan DA2. Coming from the same area, Ari admits that Irwan has been his idol since childhood.

His desire to follow in the footsteps of his idol became even stronger thanks to encouragement from his father. During an interview, Ari recounted that his father once asked him, "Don't you want to be like Bang Irwan?" He confidently answered, "I do, Dad." That conversation motivated Ari not to give up on reaching the Indosiar stage.
