Anggini Majene Dangdut Academy 8 Reveals She Has Been Singing Dangdut Since Age 6

Anggini's singing journey, a participant of Dangdut Academy 8 from Majene, West Sulawesi, actually started when she was very young. This 15-year-old teenager claims she began singing dangdut at the age of 6.

Since the age of 6, she has focused on honing her dangdut singing talent and actively participating in singing competitions. Her love for dangdut music and the dreams she has cherished since childhood motivated Anggini to audition for Dangdut Academy 8, bringing her to this top 53 stage.

"Masyaallah, I'm so proud and deeply moved to have come this far. This is also thanks to the prayers of my parents," said Anggini when met at the Emtek Indosiar Studio, Jakarta, Thursday (9/7/2026).

The Anggini family welcomed her success with pride, especially because their daughter managed to set foot in Jakarta as one of the singers who successfully performed on the grand stage of Indosiar.

The journey that Anggini took to get to Jakarta was not easy. She recounted that she auditioned for Dangdut Academy 8 in Sidrap, South Sulawesi, which is very far from her home in Majene.

She traveled that long distance by car, accompanied by her family. Her family provided full support for Anggini, as did her friends and the environment around her home.

For Anggini, Dangdut Academy was her first singing competition experience that she participated in.

When asked about the alumni of Dangdut Academy who inspires her, Anggini confidently mentioned the name Lesti Kejora. She admitted that Lesti's extraordinary singing ability touches her heart directly. "I really like Kak Lesti. Her high notes when she sings... they pierce right into my soul," she said.

Anggini also expressed her desire to have the opportunity to sing with her idol someday. "I really want to sing with Kak Lesti," she revealed.
