Andika Mahesa Prepares New Album for Kangen Band with Berry Saint Loco

Kapanlagi.com - The vocalist of Kangen Band, Andika Mahesa, has revealed his latest project that he is currently preparing. Amidst a busy performance schedule, the man affectionately known as Babang Tamvan admitted that he is working on a new Kangen Band album with a different touch from previous works.

Andika revealed that the project involves Berry, a member of the rap-rock band Saint Loco. This collaboration is expected to bring a new color to the musical journey of Kangen Band.

"If there’s a project, it might be one project with the kids from Saint Loco and Berry, maybe the new Kangen Band album," said Andika Mahesa when met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (7/7/2026).

1. Leaked Temporary Title

The singer Yolanda also leaked the temporary title of the project, which is Ardo Pangga. According to her, this album will combine elements of band music with rappers and beatbox as a form of musical exploration.

"The title is Ardo Pangga. Wow, awesome. As for the others, not yet, because we want to collaborate with the band, rapper, beatbox, it seems like we want to make a breakthrough, yeah, destroy music," she said.

2. Creative Experiment Combining Various Music Genres

Andika explained that the term "destroying music" that he mentioned is not meant negatively, but rather as a form of creative experiment to see the results of blending various music genres.

"Yes, what I mean is I just want to know from the results of my destruction and the kids who are rappers, just like that. It's healthy, right?," he clarified.

3. Kangen Band Still Remains the Main Focus

Although currently trying a new concept, Andika ensures that he remains focused with Kangen Band. He also has no plans to join or become a permanent singer in another music group.

"I don't think so, I've never featured, it's just Kangen Band all the time. I don't know about the opening bands," he asserted.

4. Busyness Amidst Working on a New Project

Amidst the busyness of working on a new project, Andika admits that his performance activities are still running normally. In a week, he typically performs three to four times in various regions.

"Yeah, if performing, it's definitely three or four times a week, three or four times," he said.
