30th Anniversary Concert of Project Pop Will Be Grand, Promoter Prepares K-Pop Themed Production

Kapanlagi.com - The concert celebrating 30 years of Project Pop titled Forever Young Forever Fun is set to be packaged with a more magnificent production. Promoter Northstar Entertainment is preparing a stage concept inspired by K-Pop performances for the concert to be held at Tennis Indoor Senayan on August 8, 2026.

Cherry Ibrahim, the representative of the promoter, stated that the concept was prepared together with Creative Director Kemot so that Project Pop's performance feels fresher without losing their identity.

"Because Project Pop is indeed somewhat close to K-Pop. So actually for the creative process, we are also assisted by Kemot as the Creative Director," said Cherry Ibrahim when met in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, on Friday (10/07/2026).

"And I also discussed with him, there will be treatments that will be quite similar to K-Pop," he continued.

One of the elements being prepared is the use of a stage lift to support the performances of the members. However, Cherry admitted that they are still considering safety factors in a joking manner.

"We will try to have a lift. But maybe because these gentlemen are already of a certain age, perhaps the lift won’t be too high, right? 30 cm, 30 cm... We will try to go a bit higher but later there will be its own treatment, right?" he said.

2. Had Doubts About Holding a Solo Concert

Cherry also revealed that initially Project Pop had doubts about holding a solo concert. After several discussions, they finally agreed to realize the 30th-anniversary concert.

"They were still not sure about a big concert. Just because I played basketball with Udjo, I explained it again. Until they finally said they were ready, okay let's do it," he said.

He hopes this concert can set a new standard for the organization of concerts for Indonesian musicians.

"So I will do my best for them, hopefully this will become something that sets a benchmark for other artists as well," concluded Cherry.
