Ruben Onsu's Side Awaits Child Custody Evidence Agenda, Will Submit Evidence to Court

The first trial of the child custody lawsuit between Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah was held at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (15/7/2026). After the agenda for verifying the identities of the parties, Ruben Onsu's legal team stated that they would prepare evidence to be submitted at the evidence stage.

Regarding the evidence that will be presented in court, including that related to the main case, H. A. Thomas emphasized that this will only be revealed at the evidence agenda. He also mentioned that an explanation regarding the substance of the case will later be delivered directly by Minola Sebayang as the head of Ruben Onsu's legal team.

"Alright, alright. Later, the evidence will be presented at the evidence agenda. Regarding the main case or substance, it will be presented directly by Mr. Minola. That's how it is," said H. A. Thomas when met at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (15/7/2026).

Thomas also explained that Minola Sebayang was unable to attend the first hearing. Nevertheless, the trial was still attended by Ruben Onsu's legal team representing their client's interests.

"Mr. Minola is also unable to attend today, but we, as his legal team, are present in the trial. That's it," said Thomas.

Regarding the possibility of presenting witnesses, Thomas stated that this process has not yet entered the trial agenda. Currently, the stage that both parties will undergo is mediation before entering the main examination of the case.

"The witness agenda is still, still far away, Sir, still far away. Therefore, the immediate agenda is mediation, mediation from both parties. Both Ruben and S (Sarwendah)," said Thomas.

Meanwhile, William Bayakta revealed that a mediator judge has been appointed in the initial hearing. The mediation schedule will be determined after the mediator coordinates with the plaintiff and the defendant.

"The mediation agenda will be determined by the mediator later. And just now, the mediator was selected during the hearing. Later, when we meet with the mediator from both the plaintiff and defendant, we will determine the date for mediation. That's how it is," concluded William Bayakta.
