Ruben Onsu Sued Over Child Custody, Sarwendah Ready to Face in Court

Kapanlagi.com - The child custody dispute between Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah has now entered legal proceedings. After the official lawsuit was registered at the South Jakarta District Court, Sarwendah's side confirmed they are ready to follow all stages of the trial.

Sarwendah's attorney, Chris Sam Siwu, stated that until now, his client has not received an official copy of the lawsuit. However, he believes that Ruben's decision to resolve the issue through the court is the right choice.

"So far, our client has not received any official letter from the court regarding the custody lawsuit filed by RO. But if that is indeed true," said Chris Sam Siwu when met at the South Jakarta District Court on Thursday (2/7/2026).

"Then we appreciate it, and we believe it is very appropriate for the resolution of the issue to be carried out through a credible institution, avoiding the shaping of public opinion by exchanging rhymes in the media," he added.

1. Sarwendah Ready to Face the Trial

Chris expressed that they welcome the legal process that will take place. According to him, the trial is the right space to present all arguments along with the evidence they possess.

He believes that through this process, the panel of judges can see the issue as a whole based on the facts presented during the trial.

"The lawsuit that has been filed by the RO party, honestly, we have been looking forward to this moment because in court we will present all legal arguments supported by evidence and witnesses related to the actual issue as a whole, so that the judge can see this matter clearly," he said.

2. Claims There Are Facts That Have Never Been Revealed

Furthermore, Chris mentioned that there are several important things that have never been conveyed to the public. This information, he said, will only be presented in court as part of the evidentiary process.

"Several very important things will be presented later in court. These important matters have never been communicated to the media before. Thus, we are very ready to face the lawsuit," he asserted.

The Sarwendah party hopes that the legal process can proceed smoothly and provide space for all parties to present their evidence and statements.

"We hope this process can run smoothly and we fully believe that Your Honor the Judge can provide the best decision based on the facts in the trial," Chris concluded.
