Sandra Dewi Relinquishes 88 Luxury Bags and a Car to the State

Kapanlagi.com - The legal steps taken by actress Sandra Dewi to defend her assets have come to an end. Through her attorney, Sandra Dewi officially withdrew her objection lawsuit against the seizure of assets at the Central Jakarta District Court on Tuesday (28/10/2025).

The letter of withdrawal has been submitted directly to the panel of judges during the trial. With this decision, Sandra Dewi must relinquish several of her luxury assets, which were previously seized in connection with the corruption case of tin Harvey Moeis, now officially belongs to the state.

The assets that must be released have significant value. Starting from collections of branded bags, luxury houses, to billions of rupiah in bank accounts, their status is now seized for the state. This was directly confirmed by the Public Relations of the Central Jakarta District Court.

"As is known, in the objection request that was seized, there are jewelry, then 88 bags, a house in Kebayoran Baru, a house in West Jakarta, two condominiums in the Serpong area, as well as the blocking of several accounts worth billions of rupiah," said Andy Saputra as the Public Relations of the Central Jakarta District Court, Tuesday (28/10/2025).

The prosecution, represented by Silvi Mulyani, stated that with the withdrawal of this lawsuit, the trial process of the resistance from Sandra Dewi's side is declared fully completed.

"(The trial) is over because the ruling has been read by the panel of judges," said Silvi.

Previously, Sandra Dewi insisted on filing a lawsuit on the grounds that the seized assets were property she acquired legally through endorsements, personal purchases, and gifts. The existence of a separation of property agreement with Harvey Moeis also became one of the bases for her opposition.

However, these assets remain seized to pay a compensation amounting to IDR 420 billion imposed on Harvey Moeis. As is known, Harvey is a convicted felon in a corruption case involving the commodity trading of tin, which caused state losses of up to IDR 271 trillion.

The corruption case involving Harvey Moeis shook Indonesia's mining world, starting from allegations of misconduct in the management of tin commodities by PT Timah Tbk between 2015 and 2022, which led to state losses of up to IDR 300 trillion. In his role as a controller at PT Refined Bangka Tin (RBT), Harvey is accused of exploiting regulatory loopholes to gain illegal profits.

In December 2024, he was sentenced to 6 years and 6 months in prison along with a fine of IDR 1 billion and an obligation to pay compensation of IDR 210 billion, a sentence deemed too lenient by the Attorney General.

Feeling that justice had not been served, they filed an appeal, and on February 13, 2025, the Jakarta High Court changed the sentence to 20 years in prison, asserting that Harvey's actions had a severely detrimental impact on the state.
