This is the Reason Investigators Seized 88 Luxury Bags from Sandra Dewi Related to the Harvey Moeis Case

Kapanlagi.com - The investigators from the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) have finally revealed the reasons behind the seizure of 88 luxury bags belonging to artist Sandra Dewi in a corruption case involving her husband, Harvey Moeis. The reasons were disclosed during the objection hearing filed by Sandra Dewi at the Central Jakarta District Court on Friday (24/10/2025).

Investigator Max Jefferson, who was present as a witness, explained that the seizure was carried out because the luxury bags were strongly suspected to have been purchased using money derived from money laundering (TPPU) activities conducted by Harvey Moeis.

1. A Purchase Detected

According to Max, there are two detected purchases. First, through the account transaction evidence that directly shows the purchase of a bag. Second, through cash withdrawals from Sandra Dewi's account, which previously received funds from Harvey.

“So there are several pieces of evidence from the account transaction that indeed pertain to the purchase of a bag,” said Max during the trial, Friday (24/10/2025).

3. Money Entering Sandra's Account

“And there is evidence that, according to the investigators, comes from the funds that entered Sandra Dewi's account, which were then used to purchase a bag, because there were cash withdrawals from Sandra Dewi's account,” he added.

4. Billions Enter Sandra's Account

Furthermore, Max detailed the flow of billions of rupiah that entered Sandra Dewi's account. The funds were transferred from Harvey Moeis to several BCA accounts belonging to his wife over different periods of time.

5. Transferred from 2016 to 2019

"In the BCA account with the last digits 411, from 2016 to 2019, there was an incoming amount of Rp 6,038,500,000. Additionally, there was also a transfer to Sandra Dewi's account with the last digits 993 amounting to Rp 7 billion," he said.

6. There is Rp 13 Billion in Sandra's Account

If summed up, the total funds flowing from Harvey Moeis to Sandra Dewi's account reached over Rp 13 billion. Sandra Dewi herself raised objections on the grounds that these assets were the result of legitimate acquisitions, whether from endorsement work, personal purchases, or gifts. However, despite the separation of property agreement, these assets were still seized.

In addition to 88 luxury bags, other seized assets include a deposit account worth Rp 33 billion, several units of cars, and jewelry. The seizure aims to pay a replacement fee of Rp 420 billion imposed on Harvey Moeis, who, along with other convicted individuals, has caused the state a loss of up to Rp 271 trillion.
