A new chapter in the dark journey of actor Ammar Zoni has finally begun. In the first trial held online on Thursday (23/10/2025), the Public Prosecutor (JPU) read the indictment letter that detailed Ammar's role as the mastermind behind the narcotics distribution network in Salemba Prison.

According to the indictment read at the Central Jakarta District Court, Ammar Zoni along with five other defendants were charged with conspiring to distribute class one narcotics. Ammar's role is said to be very central in this network.

The prosecutor revealed that it all started on December 31, 2024, when Ammar allegedly received a supply of narcotics in the form of methamphetamine weighing 100 grams from someone named Andre, who is currently still at large.

"At that time, the defendant six (Ammar Zoni) admitted to obtaining narcotics in the form of methamphetamine from brother Andre (DPO) in the amount of 100 grams," said the prosecutor in the courtroom of the Central Jakarta District Court, Thursday (23/10/2025).

After receiving the supply, Ammar then shared it with another defendant with the initials MR. From here, the chain of distribution within the detention center began to move.

"Then, the narcotics of that type, the methamphetamine, were divided between defendant five (MR) and defendant six (Ammar Zoni) each receiving 50 grams," the prosecutor continued.

The narcotics were then distributed hierarchically through other defendants who acted as intermediaries and retailers inside the detention center.

Communication among them was conducted through a secret messaging application called Zangi.

As is known, Ammar Zoni has now been transferred to the Nusakambangan Super Maximum Prison because he is considered a high-risk inmate.

During the search, a number of pieces of evidence were found in Ammar Zoni's room, including several packages of meth and dozens of synthetic marijuana rolls hidden above the door ventilation of his room.

For his actions, Ammar Zoni was charged with the primary indictment of Article 114 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph 1 of the Narcotics Law, which regulates the circulation of narcotics with very severe penalties.
