Prosecutor Highlights Nikita Mirzani's Old Confession, Social Media Dispute for Profit

The Public Prosecutor (JPU) unveiled an unexpected "trump card" during the rebuttal session of the Nikita Mirzani case. To prove the financial motive behind her actions, the prosecutor quoted Nikita's own confession in an exclusive interview on the Kick Andy show in 2022.

During the trial at the South Jakarta District Court on Monday (20/10/2025), the prosecutor reminded the public of the moment when Nikita openly admitted that the commotion she often created on social media was something that was planned or by design.

According to the prosecutor, this confession is very relevant to prove that Nikita's actions in tarnishing Reza Gladys are not purely for educational purposes, but rather part of a strategy to gain profit.

"Based on the conversation in the excerpt of the interview above, it is evident that the defendant Nikita Mirzani has indeed often caused commotion and sought profit on social media with someone since 2020," said the prosecutor in the courtroom.

The prosecutor quoted Nikita's statement at that time, where she claimed not to be stupid and did not want to waste energy if the commotion she caused did not result in "profit".

"So by design, this commotion is because I'm not stupid, right," the prosecutor quoted Nikita's words. "If I'm just causing a ruckus without gaining anything, I would be the only one at a loss."

Furthermore, the prosecutor also highlighted Nikita's confession that every time she caused a commotion, her income from endorsements actually increased significantly.

"So back when there was no pandemic, my endorsement income every time I caused a fuss was quite good," the prosecutor continued, still quoting Nikita.

As is known, Nikita Mirzani is entangled in a case of alleged extortion and money laundering based on a report by Reza Gladys and is facing an 11-year prison sentence.

By revisiting this old interview, the prosecutor seems to want to demonstrate a consistent pattern of behavior from Nikita.

They concluded that what happened to Reza Gladys is part of the same "design", which is to create a commotion for financial purposes.

"Thus, it can be concluded that the actions of the defendant Nikita Mirzani in defaming witness Reza Gladys on social media have financial motives," concluded the prosecutor.
