An emotional atmosphere enveloped the courtroom of the South Jakarta District Court as Nikita Mirzani finished reading the duplicate or response to the prosecutor's rebuttal. Nikita could not hold back her tears, marking a moment she had been waiting for over the past eight months.

Nikita Mirzani, who was met after the trial, expressed her relief. According to her, the duplicate she wrote herself was a response to all the accusations directed at her by the prosecutor. This moment became the peak of her long wait for the verdict hearing scheduled for October 28.

"Yes, I am satisfied because I made the duplicates myself, answering all the rebuttals that the prosecutor mentioned last Monday," said Nikita Mirzani at the South Jakarta District Court on Thursday (23/10/2025).

The tears streaming down were described as an outpouring of relief because the long trial process would soon come to an end. Her greatest hope now rests on the wisdom of the panel of judges who will preside over the sentencing session.

"Crying because it’s finally over. After (crying) it’s finally over, yes, this date 28 is the day I’ve been waiting for after approximately 8 months, finally on this 28th, hopefully, I have no other hopes besides the honorable judge, may he be wise and judge as fairly as possible," she said.

In the midst of her struggle for justice, Nikita also expressed a deep longing for her children. She hopes that the decision on the 28th will be good news that ends her wait to reunite with her family.

"I miss them so much. I really miss sleeping in the room together. Hopefully, on the 28th, what I have hoped for and prayed for will all come true, insyaallah," she said.

As the decision day approaches, Nikita admits her feelings are mixed. The time she spent in detention feels so long and makes her more melancholic.

"Yes, waiting for a long time because being detained is not a short time. Just one day feels like one week, so this is starting to feel mellow, it seems like the cycle of the problem is about to end," concluded Nikita.
