Sarwendah Asserts Ready to Face Child Custody Lawsuit

The first hearing of the child custody lawsuit filed by Ruben Onsu against Sarwendah was officially held at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (15/7/2026). The agenda for the first hearing included the examination of the parties' identities and the appointment of a mediator judge for the mediation process.

Sarwendah's legal team stated that their client is ready to follow all stages of the trial. According to them, this readiness is based on a commitment to prioritize the interests and welfare of the children.

"And one thing I need to emphasize this time is that our client, Sarwendah, is very ready to face this trial process," said Abraham Simon when met at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (15/7/2026).

"His readiness stems from a single commitment to ensure the welfare, the best interests of the children, and also to protect the future of his children," he continued.

Sarwendah herself admitted that she will continue to strive to provide the best for her three children. She also emphasized that her presence at the trial is a form of respect for the ongoing legal process.

"Coincidentally, but I will always strive to do my best for my children because from the moment I had children, I have been determined to always take care of and love my children and bring happiness to them. So I hope everything goes smoothly in the process," said Sarwendah.

Sarwendah also stated that she attended the court summons as a law-abiding citizen. She hopes that the entire court process can run smoothly for the happiness of the children.

"As a good citizen of Indonesia, I come to fulfill the first summons. And I hope everything goes smoothly for the happiness of the children," she said.
