Sarwendah was seen arriving at Soekarno-Hatta Airport with a special agenda that caught the public's attention. The former Cherrybelle member came to introduce her two daughters, Thalia and Thania Putri Onsu, to their father, Ruben Onsu.
The meeting took place just before Ruben departed for the Holy Land to perform Umrah. Although she seemed rushed, Sarwendah took a moment to give a brief statement to the media regarding her purpose for coming to the location.
"Yes, I want to introduce the kids to their dad," said Sarwendah at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Monday (22/6/2026).
Sarwendah revealed that she and the children have just arrived from Singapore. After landing, they headed straight to the location where Ruben was gathering with the umrah group to meet before the departure schedule.
"Yes, the children just landed from Singapore as well," she said.
In the midst of the crowd of journalists, Sarwendah tried to ensure the comfort of her two daughters. She requested the media crew not to focus too much on the children who were present at the meeting."Please, there are children here," she said.
This meeting moment has become a highlight amid the recent controversy between Ruben and Sarwendah. Previously, Ruben had admitted to having difficulty meeting his children and claimed he had not had unrestricted access since the end of 2025.
Through his attorney, Minola Sebayang, Ruben is also known to have approached the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI). In his complaint, he expressed several objections, including regarding the involvement of children in live TikTok broadcasts for selling activities that are considered to potentially disrupt their rest time and development.
Not only that, Ruben also briefly mentioned the presence of Giorgio Antonio in the context of raising his children. He believes that this person has become too involved in his personal matters with the children, prompting him to choose to consult with a child protection agency.
