Dangdut Academy has always been a dream stage for young dangdut singers out there. This is also felt by Syarif Hidayatullah, a young man from Tuban, East Java. After becoming the champion of the Forsa Idol competition at the East Java provincial level, Syarif decided to audition for Dangdut Academy 8!

He wants to follow in the footsteps of Mila Nurwanti, who also won the Forsa Idol at the DKI Jakarta provincial level and became a star in DA7 by making it to the Top 5. KLovers, let's take a sneak peek at Syarif's profile here!

Syarif is a young man from Klotok Village, Plumpang District, Tuban Regency, East Java. He became the champion of Forsa Idol East Java in the senior category in November 2025.

Syarif himself admitted that he did not expect to achieve the highest position in the event. "Alhamdulillah, I was optimistic about making it to the top three, but I prayed to be given the opportunity to represent East Java. And it turns out I was awarded first place, Alhamdulillah," said Syarif as reported by KapanLagi.com via Radar Tuban on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

Syarif then continued to advance in the competition at the national level. Syarif successfully made it to the top 10.

With that achievement, Syarif then tried his luck in Dangdut Academy 8, which has now entered the jury audition stage. Syarif showcased his performance in front of Dewi Perssik, Soimah, and Wika Salim.

Syarif received 2 YES votes from the judges along with a Golden Ticket to advance to the next round. Syarif wants to follow in the footsteps of Mila DA7, who achieved success in Dangdut Academy after becoming the champion of Forsa Idol at the provincial level.
