Ruben Onsu Complains About the Presence of Third Parties When Meeting Children at the Ballet Event

The issue of access to meet the children has once again come to the spotlight in the post-divorce conflict of Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah. Through his attorney, Minola Sebayang, Ruben expressed his disappointment over the situation that occurred while attending a ballet event that his two daughters participated in.

According to Minola, Ruben feels he did not have enough space to interact freely with his children. He even admitted he had to sit separately from his little ones despite being present to provide direct support.

"The presence of all of them at the ballet event is based on the expenses of Ruben Onsu. However, Ruben Onsu was not given the appropriate space, place, and time to meet and gather closely with his children," said Minola Sebayang at the KPAI Office, Central Jakarta, Monday (22/6/2026).

In addition to the issue of access, Minola also highlighted the presence of a male friend of Sarwendah who was said to be around the children during the event. According to Ruben's side, the presence of this figure made his client feel uncomfortable when interacting with his daughters.

"As the biological father, it is reasonable to suspect that he is being monitored by his biological mother and her male friend. So it is quite clear that this male friend of the mother is watching as if he is the one who has the children," said Minola.

Minola also revealed a moment that was considered quite emotional when Ruben was carrying one of his children. Based on the video they have, the interaction ended when the child was taken away again. However, Ruben chose not to prolong the situation to avoid a commotion in public.

"In the video, at the last moment, there is a condition when he is still being hugged, carried by Ruben, and his child's hand is being pulled by S (Sarwendah), right? Pulled like that, and Ruben didn't want any commotion, so he put him down," explained Minola

Furthermore, Ruben's side hopes that issues concerning the children can be resolved by both parents without involving other parties. According to Minola, the interests of the children should be the top priority amidst the ongoing conflict.

"Ruben is the one most entitled to warn those who are not family, not mother and not father to always interfere in the lives of the children and Ruben," concluded Minola.
