Response from Sarwendah Regarding Accusations of Ruben Onsu Exploiting Children During Live Streaming

The presence of Sarwendah's children in several live broadcasts on social media recently has drawn attention. Some parties believe that these activities could potentially be a form of child exploitation to increase popularity or sales.

This accusation was denied by Sarwendah's attorney, Chris Sam Siwu. According to him, the presence of the children during the broadcasts occurs naturally because the work activities are conducted in their own home.

"So don't twist it as if the children are being used as a tool to raise ratings. Absolutely not. The door of the house is always open for the children to come at any time," said Chris Sam Siwu in a virtual press conference on Saturday (20/6/2026).

He explained that the concept of child exploitation cannot be equated with the situation that occurs in Sarwendah's house.

"Child exploitation is when children are included in every event on a scheduled basis. This is not the case; indeed, because this is their home, the children can come and go at any time," he explained.

According to Chris, there are no rules or scenarios that force the children to appear in live broadcasts. They are free to engage in their usual activities at home.

"There is no script or business plan that involves the children forcibly. The children can enter any room naturally," he said.

Chris also responded to the spotlight regarding the broadcast hours that sometimes extend into the night. According to him, the children who appear during the broadcast usually wake up and look for their mother.

"When they wake up in the middle of the night and miss her, they just come upstairs and see their mother working to earn money for them," he said.

He emphasized that Sarwendah continues to prioritize the well-being and happiness of her children as her main focus in life. "The love and attention of a mother to her children is given 24 hours a day by our client," said Chris.
