Hard to Meet, Ruben Onsu: I Just Want to Spend Time with My Children

Presenter Ruben Onsu has once again revealed his difficulties in meeting his two daughters, Thalia Putri Onsu and Thania Putri Onsu. Amid the dynamics following his divorce from Sarwendah, Ruben admitted that he only has one simple wish, which is to spend time with his children.

According to Ruben, until now he still faces various obstacles that make moments together with his children not go as hoped.

"What I want, I just want to spend time with my children. That's it, that's the point that I can't get. I just want to spend time with my child, that's it. So that's what's a bit difficult," said Ruben Onsu when met in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta, Friday (19/6/2026).

Ruben explained that legally there is already a time division that regulates custody and visitation schedules with his children. Based on the court's decision, there is a division of days that is considered fair for both parents.

"Actually, it seems unnecessary to reach an agreement, just adhere to what is already in place. So the court's decision indeed provides for four days with her (Sarwendah), and three days with me," he explained.

However, Ruben feels that the implementation of the agreement does not always go according to the established rules. He admitted to often facing various obstacles that make the visitation schedule uncertain."It just seems to veer off, resulting in all sorts of changes. In fact, it should be that simple," he said.

Not only about dividing time, Ruben also admitted that he experienced difficulties trying to meet his children at school. According to him, the process still requires approval from certain parties so his desire to meet the children cannot be realized immediately. "Yesterday I tried to contact, yes it really needs approval first," he said.

Nevertheless, Ruben chose to leave the entire legal process regarding his visitation rights to his attorney, Minola Sebayang. He hopes that the issue can soon find the best solution for the children's interests.

"Later let Bang Minola answer that. If it's already certain, we have arranged it with Bang Minola. God willing, hopefully after that everything can be better," concluded Ruben Onsu.
