Selling an Apartment and Moving into a Dream Home with Ferry Irawan, Venna Melinda: Not Because of Debt

Kapanlagi.com - Venna Melinda, who recently got married to Ferry Irawan, is known to be moving from the apartment she has lived in for the past 10 years to her dream home that is currently being renovated. The couple's move is expected to take place in a few months.

"God willing, at the end of July, because Vania is getting bigger, Athala's room is also small. It's time to move house. I also think it's better to buy a house, it's dangerous here with the glass terrace, I'm afraid she might fall or something," said Venna Melinda when interviewed by KapanLagi.com team in the Kemang area of South Jakarta on Monday (2/5).

However, before moving to her new residence, Venna Melinda is currently in the process of selling her apartment. She has been trying to sell the apartment for several years now.

"Yes, for the past 3 years. I've been wanting to sell it and asked for Abi's help," she said.

2. Renovation Almost Complete

On the other hand, the renovation process of Verrell Bramasta's mother's new home has entered the final stage of construction. The plan is to move in after the interior is finished.

"It's already 80 percent done, the interior design is in, and we'll move in," she said.

3. Dismiss Unpleasant Rumors

Amidst the happy moment of Venna Melinda and Ferry Irawan's move to their dream home, there were unpleasant rumors surrounding their decision to sell their apartment. Many linked the sale of Venna Melinda's luxurious residence to her marriage. Of course, this rumor was immediately dismissed firmly by the 49-year-old woman.

"Oh yes, that's the dream home. So, when I was a career woman before the pandemic, I had many profitable assets. But after the pandemic, many of those assets were not profitable. What was profitable was precious metals and foreign currency. So, I thought I would be tired of taking care of maintenance if this (apartment) was still unsold, not to mention I also sold it in Bali. Because I want to simplify things first, many people say, 'Oh, because you have to pay this and that,' no. Because the pandemic situation is not profitable, we haven't even paid taxes yet. While I'm at the point where I said earlier, going through marriage is not about luxury, we really feel blessed because we have the same vision and mission, we no longer think about worldly things, what to buy, what to do, we're not at that point anymore," said Venna.

"Then there are those who say that because I married Ferry, we're selling. Oh no, not at all," she added.

4. Not Willing to Sell

Of course, the apartment where they lived for almost 10 years holds many memories. Nevertheless, there were several considerations that had been thought of before deciding to sell the luxurious residence.

"No (not willing to sell), unless we're not in a pandemic, it's easy for us to rent it out. This is strategic in Kemang, but because of the pandemic, this strategic location becomes less strategic. So, we have to be systematic. So, it's not related to paying anything. Because thank God, as a career woman, I have really calculated everything. If I want to sell, it's not because we have debts, or because we can't live, thank God it's not like that," said Venna.

"Because Abi's recovery has already eased the burden, meaning there are no more expensive medication costs. Now I'm in a phase where Allah has given me a husband in this condition, meaning I have to be more patient, love him more, and God willing, he will fully recover and be able to make money to make us more prosperous," she continued.

5. So Becoming a Legislative Candidate

Furthermore, Venna also explained her husband's long-term plan not only to run a business but also to enter the political world as a legislative candidate.

"Although there are more joint jobs now, it is hoped that Abi will run the business in 2024, God willing, he wants to run for legislative candidacy," she concluded.
