Sule Absent at the Heir Determination Hearing Submitted by Teddy Pardiyana, Entering Mediation Stage

The continuation of the hearing regarding the heir determination request submitted by Teddy Pardiyana is back in session. The trial was held at the Bandung Religious Court, Soreang, West Java, on Tuesday (27/1/2026).

This session's agenda was supposed to be the summoning of comedian Sule. Sule's presence was required as the guardian of his youngest child, Ferdinand. However, during the hearing, the father of Rizky Febian was observed to be absent from the courtroom.

Teddy Pardiyana's attorney, Wati, confirmed Sule's absence. Wati explained that Sule did not come personally, but rather sent a representative to attend the hearing. "He has a representative (Sule)," wrote Wati via text message on Tuesday (27/1/2026).

Initially, the hearing was scheduled to listen to evidence from the petitioner, namely Teddy Pardiyana. However, because the respondent responded by having a legal representative present, the panel of judges decided to change the hearing agenda to mediation. "The agenda was supposed to be evidence from the petitioner. Because the respondent was present, the agenda became mediation," said Wati.

Although the agenda changed to mediation, the meeting between both parties could not take place on the same day. Wati mentioned that they still have to wait for the official schedule from the court for the mediation process. "Yes, but we are still waiting for the schedule," said Wati.

On the other hand, Sule had previously made a statement regarding his summons in this legal matter. Sule revealed that the main obstacle for him not being able to attend in person is due to time constraints and a very tight schedule.

"The problem is this, from the Religious Court in Bandung, Soreang. The honorable Sir, we do not want to be absent, but the time and opportunity have not been available," said Sule.

Teddy Pardiyana himself emphasized that the legal steps he is taking have a clear purpose for his child's future. He feels the need for legal certainty for the smooth administration of his beloved child, especially concerning the late Lina Jubaedah.

"To establish this school, several administrative matters are needed that must use the legal standing related to the documents connected to the late one," said Teddy.  He reiterated that this request is purely for the sake of his child's school documents, not due to other issues.  "More focused on the administration for the completeness of the school," Teddy said.
