Thariq Halilintar and Aaliyah Massaid Examined Regarding Hanania Travel, Paid 170 Million

Muhammad Thariq Halilintar and Aaliyah Massaid have just complied with the summons from the investigators of the Subdit Kamneg Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya. This celebrity couple attended to provide testimony related to the alleged fraud case involving Hanania Travel umrah pilgrims.

The police have named Ahmad Syah Farhan, the President Director of Hanania Group, as a suspect in a case that has caused losses to pilgrims amounting to billions of rupiah. The modus operandi employed by the suspect was to promise umrah departures, but thousands of pilgrims ended up failing to depart.

Both expressed their shock at the legal case entangling the travel agency. The couple has submitted around 30 answers during the Examination Report (BAP) process to the investigative team.

"This is going to be an investigation, if we give a statement now it seems unwise, let's wait and see, this is a police summons from them, we will first convey what needs to be conveyed, I will definitely give a statement to you," said Sangun Ragahdo when met at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Tuesday (9/6/2026).

Sangun Ragahdo explained that his client first received an offer for advertising cooperation or endorsement in November 2025. Thariq and his wife had postponed the offer before finally conducting an in-depth check on the company's credibility.

"We do not deny that this is a form of endorsement. But you also need to know that there are various types of endorsements," he said.

The celebrity couple apparently did not fully enjoy the departure facilities for the pilgrimage for free. Thariq Halilintar and Aaliyah Massaid actually paid an additional fee of up to Rp170 million because they brought a large family entourage.

"The payment from Thariq is not small either. We have paid to Hanania this and that reaching almost 170 million, around 160 million," he said.

Thariq and Aaliyah emphasized that their position in this matter is merely as witnesses who are cooperative in assisting the police. They brought several transaction document evidences to clarify the confusing information circulating in the community.

"Yes, especially since we are very concerned that those who perform umrah have probably been saving for years, so we are also very sad and very concerned. Because we also have parents who are worried about those who have saved for umrah and everything. We really hope it ends soon. Amen. Thank you, everyone," he said.
