The Religious Court Confirms Tengku Dewi Putri Withdraws Divorce Lawsuit Against Andrew Andika

Kapanlagi.com - The news regarding the withdrawal of the divorce lawsuit filed by Tengku Dewi against her husband, Andrew Andika, has been confirmed by the court. This was stated by the Public Relations of the Cibinong Religious Court, Bogor, West Java, Dadang Karim.

"Yes, according to the register in our office at SDPP. The case tracking information system. The case in the name of Dewi with Andrew has indeed been withdrawn by the concerned party as of July 4, 2024," said Dadang in his office on Wednesday (21/8/2024).

With the withdrawal of the divorce lawsuit, the ongoing trial is automatically halted. The status of Tengku Dewi and Andrew Andika remains husband and wife.

"So in our register, it is already noted as withdrawn. If it is withdrawn, it means the case is no longer active for examination," said Dadang.

1. The Lawsuit Has Been Withdrawn

According to Dadang, Tengku Dewi, who is the plaintiff, is confirmed to be the person who withdrew the lawsuit. However, he does not know whether the plaintiff herself made the withdrawal or if it was done through her legal representative.

"That means it should be the one who was present in court that day. But that is how it is recorded in our register. Whether it was the one who stated it or the one who requested it that is represented by a legal representative or the concerned party, I cannot inform because I was not present in that trial," explained Dadang.

Meanwhile, the withdrawal of the lawsuit can be accepted immediately because Andrew Andika never attended, nor was he represented by his legal counsel. Therefore, in the three court sessions, mediation has not yet been confirmed as failed or not.

"The withdrawal was without the consent of the opposing party because they have not provided an answer. But if during the court examination the opposing party or the defendant has already provided an answer, then the withdrawal must be with the permission of the defendant," concluded Dadang.

2. Divorce Lawsuit TDP

As reported, Tengku Dewi filed for divorce at the Cibinong Religious Court, Bogor, West Java, on June 7, 2024. At that time, Tengku Dewi was heavily pregnant with her husband's child.

Until now, Tengku Dewi has not provided a reason for withdrawing her divorce lawsuit. Tengku Dewi filed the lawsuit due to the infidelity committed by Andrew Andika.
