To Complete the Latest Album Titled 'CHAPTER 1.5', Petrus Mahendra is Willing to Visit Steep Cliffs in Extreme Weather

Kapanlagi.com - Singer Petrus Mahendra, or better known as Mahen, has gained popularity thanks to his debut hit song released in 2019 titled Pura Pura Lupa. Not only that, this song has garnered 149 million views.

Since then, Mahen has been full of enthusiasm in presenting new works up until now. He has produced various works, one of which is his debut album titled SEBUAH CERITA (A Story), which was assisted by several musicians in the process.

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, Mahen's spirit in creating art remains undeterred. This is proven by the completion of the SEBUAH CERITA album itself.

Now at the beginning of 2024, under the auspices of the Indo Semar Records recording label, Mahen is releasing an acoustic album containing several songs that have been previously released with a different nuance. Not only that, in this album there are two new songs titled Memendam Rasa and Memilih Berhenti.

Through the acoustic album titled CHAPTER 1.5, Mahen wants to remind his songs that have brought him to become the Mahen he is known today. Mahen also hopes that this album can be a good step for his future career.

2. Mahen Has Two New Songs

"At the beginning of 2024, I am releasing the acoustic album Chapter 1.5, which contains my previously released songs and two new songs from me," said Mahen in his written statement on Friday (26/4).

"I made the acoustic version because I think music doesn't always have to be about high musicality, so I want to make it as simple and as comfortable as possible. In addition, it can create a new nuance from my previously released songs," he continued.

3. Challenges of Shooting Video Clips

In the production of the album CHAPTER 1.5, Mahen was assisted by Stefanus LJ and Muhammad Pramudito as music producers, Jay Sasiang as CO Producer, and Ayoe Purnamasari as backing vocals. Mixing, mastering, and recording were done at Indo Semar Records music studio in Jakarta.

In addition, shooting this video clip certainly had its own challenges, where the location was quite steep and the unpredictable weather hindered the shooting activities. However, thanks to the excellent cooperation between the team and Mahen, the shooting process could still be completed well despite the quite heavy obstacles.

4. Hoping to Accompany the Listeners

"Hopefully, this album can be liked by many music listeners," he said.

"Through the songs in this album, they can accompany all of you who may be feeling sad, and hopefully, through these songs, they can also accompany you until you can rise again and feel happy again," he concluded.
