Chandrika Chika's Parents Assert that Their Child Was Arrested Not While Partying with Drugs

Kapanlagi.com - Poppi, who is Chandrika Chika's mother, took the time to visit her daughter who is currently detained for drug abuse along with her husband, Jusman. When meeting her daughter, Poppi gave some advice to her child.

"Just apologize and give advice," said Poppi at the South Jakarta Metro Police Station on Wednesday (24/4/2024).

The woman who is affectionately called Chika was arrested with 5 of her friends in an apartment. However, Poppi emphasized that at that time, her daughter was not partying with drugs.

"She also didn't expect it to be like this because there was no party, no drug party. There was none," said Poppi.

1. Not a Drug Party

Poppi said that at that time, Chika came just to hang out with her friends. While there, one of her friends brought pods containing liquid marijuana.

"She came there just to hang out," said Poppi.

"I'm not angry anymore, I just want to give support because she's feeling down and the news keeps portraying her like this, she also doesn't know that the pod contains that substance," added her mother.

However, when asked by the media whether Chika was set up by her friends to consume drugs or not, Poppi refused to comment.

"I don't want to say whether she was set up or not," said Poppi.

2. Chandrika's Condition

Regarding her daughter's case, Poppi still doesn't know whether she will seek rehabilitation or not. What is certain is that Poppi said her daughter is in good condition.

"I haven't dared to talk about that yet, for now I just want to let you know that my daughter is fine, healthy. If there's more than that, I apologize, I can't say," she concluded.

As a reminder, Chandrika Chika was arrested along with 5 of her friends at a hotel in the Kuningan area of South Jakarta on Monday, April 22, 2024, at 23:00 WIB. When arrested, the police confiscated 1 pod vape containing liquid marijuana as evidence.

After the arrest process, the police conducted laboratory tests and confirmed that the liquid tested positive for THC. Meanwhile, Chandrika Chika and her 5 friends have also undergone urine tests which tested positive for marijuana.
