Undergoing Police Examination, Here's the Story of Boy William's Involvement in the Credit Card Fraud Case

Kapanlagi.com - On Wednesday morning (22/7/2020) around 10:00 AM, Boy William came to the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of East Java Regional Police in Surabaya. He was questioned as a witness in the case of credit card fraud against hundreds of Japanese citizens, which the perpetrator turned into an Instagram travel business using the account @tiketkekinian.

The actor and presenter came out of the examination room before Maghrib. During the process, Boy admitted to answering 30 questions asked by the investigators.

1. Not Re-check Company

Boy William also shared how he became an endorsement model to promote the travel business. The COMIC 8 actor did not expect that the party who hired him was a criminal.

"We have a digital platform that provides promotional services and they provide services for traveling, so it's a mutual exchange. We don't know what company they are, we just see that they need promotion and we benefit from it, so let's work together. We didn't expect it to turn out like this," said Boy after the examination.

2. Know Two Suspects

Among the four travel managers who are now suspects of credit card fraud, Boy had met two of them. The meeting was only about cooperation.

"I know (the suspects), but only two out of four. Their initials are S and M. I know them from this job. They offered me a service to fly and then we had a meeting, I got to know them from there and we exchanged contacts," said Boy Hartanto, the owner of the name.

3. Don't Know the Amount

By becoming an endorsement model, Boy William was given plane tickets and a hotel. He doesn't know the exact amount because he was only given in the form of tickets and not money.

"I don't know the amount because I've never seen it. We only receive it in the form of tickets," he said.
