The rainy season that has hit Jakarta recently has left an unforgettable experience for actress Valerie Tifanka. She confessed to experiencing trauma after being stuck in severe traffic for eight hours due to flooding.

This incident even made her reluctant to leave the house to practice padel ahead of her appearance in the Indonesian Celebrity Sports Tournament (TOSI) Season 4.

The unfortunate experience happened on Thursday (30/10/2025). At that time, after practicing padel, Valerie was heading to an event in the SCBD area. However, her journey from Kemang turned into a nightmare when flooding struck and rendered her unable to move.

"I was on the road for almost 8 hours sitting in the car. So when I was invited to practice again with Emir for TOSI yesterday, I didn't want to leave the house, still traumatized from sitting 8 hours in the car," said Valerie Tifanka when met at GOR UNJ, Rawamangun, East Jakarta, Saturday (1/11/2025).

The 28-year-old actress recounted that the situation worsened because many roads were closed, including due to a broken embankment in the surrounding area.

"When I wanted to turn right, that road was also closed because it turned out there was a broken embankment over there. Whether I liked it or not, I had to turn back," she recalled.

As a result of being stuck until late at night, Valerie was forced to cancel her attendance at the event she was supposed to go to. She admitted that she had tried to wait, but by 10 PM, she was still stuck on the road.

"Of course, it really hindered me. So I didn't end up going to the event. At 10 o'clock, I was still on the road," he explained.

Valerie admitted that this was her first experience being stuck in such severe traffic due to flooding. She even compared it to the open-closed traffic system in Puncak, which she thinks is not as bad.

The feeling of trauma apparently still lingers until now. She admitted that she still feels anxious every time she has to face traffic in Jakarta. "Honestly, it's traumatic, really traumatic. Earlier coming here it was also a bit congested like, oh God stop with this traffic," she concluded.
