Verrell Bramasta Becomes Maritime Ambassador, Ready to Carry Out First Mission in the Thousand Islands

Verrell explained that this appointment started from an invitation for a friendly visit that then developed into a more in-depth discussion. The man, who is also a council member, shared the moment when the mandate was first conveyed to him.

"Alhamdulillah, not long ago, precisely on Monday, I received an invitation from Koarmada RI for a friendly visit," said Verrell when met in the Gunung Sahari area, Central Jakarta, Friday (18/7/2025).

From that meeting, the idea of a strategic collaboration was born between him and the Navy. He explained that his appointment as an ambassador is the initial step of the cooperation that will be established.

"There, we discussed a lot and it turns out there will be a collaboration between me and the Navy. The first initiative is that I am grateful to be entrusted as the Maritime Ambassador," he said.

2. Verrell's Main Duty as Maritime Ambassador

Verrell's main duty is to be a bridge to socialize maritime programs to the public, especially the younger generation. He outlined several focus programs that will be his concern.

"This is an award given to me. I am expected to promote the Navy's programs, especially those related to maritime affairs, such as water sports, food security, and the environment," Verrell explained.

Realizing the great expectations placed upon him, Verrell views this role as a heavy mandate. The eldest son of Venna Melinda is determined to respond to that trust with real work.

"I think this is a pretty big responsibility. There are many proofs and work that I have to do moving forward," he said.

"For the first point we visit, it’s not far from here, it’s in the Thousand Islands," he concluded.
