Initially Thought to be an Adaptation of Lesti Kejora's Song, the Film 'LEBIH DARI SELAMANYA' Releases a Heartfelt Trailer

Golden Scene Pictures, in collaboration with FMM Studios, officially released the official trailer and poster for their latest film, LEBIH DARI SELAMANYA, on Monday (14/7/2025). This release immediately drew attention, especially due to its title being identical to the popular song by Lesti Kejora.

Many netizens speculated that this film is an adaptation of that song. However, those speculations were quickly dismissed by Producer Ary Ambiary. He emphasized that this film has an original story created from scratch and has no connection whatsoever to the singer's song.

"Actually, when choosing the title for this film, there were many considerations until finally 'Lebih Dari Selamanya' became the choice. This title has nothing to do with Lesti's song, even though we know there are songs that have been adapted into films. But this film is an original story that we created from scratch," said Producer Ary Ambiary when contacted on Monday (14/7/2025).

1. The Title Represents the Essence of the Story

The title was chosen because it is considered the most capable of representing the essence of the story to be conveyed, which is a tale of eternal love that transcends the boundaries of space and time. The production team hopes this message will leave a lasting impression on the audience for a very long time.

"We want to present a true love story that is not limited by time and circumstances, which is why it was ultimately chosen. Hopefully, the film will resonate with its viewers for a long time, just like its title, More Than Forever," Ary continued.

2. Presenting a Touching Premise

Directed by the duo Amrul Ummami and Latisa Naraswari, MORE THAN FOREVER presents a touching premise. This film tells the story of Salim (played by Donny Alamsyah), a single father who has spent 14 years of his life in loyalty after the passing of his beloved wife, Rifa (Shareefa Daanish). Salim holds firmly to his promise not to remarry.

However, time changes everything. His daughter, Nasya (Adzana Ashel), has grown up and is about to start her own family. Amidst loneliness and the shadows of the past, Mila (Adinda Thomas) appears, a woman who unknowingly fills the void in Salim's heart. The screenwriter, Ali Ghifari, hopes that the released trailer can make the audience feel closer and more sympathetic to each character. According to him, the story of Salim and Rifa is very relevant to the lives of many people.

Donny Alamsyah, as the main actor, also hopes that this film can be real evidence that true love exists. The film MORE THAN FOREVER is scheduled to be released in all cinemas in Indonesia starting August 28, 2025.

"We hope that anyone who watches our trailer is convinced that there is true love that is More than Forever," he asserted.
