The Children Are Still Looking for Edward Akbar, Kimberly Ryder: They Were Born to the Same Father

For Kimberly, the relationship between the children and Edward Akbar remains intact as their biological father. She realizes that the memories with their father are still alive in her children's minds.

"Why would I talk about a new father to the kids? No way," said Kimberly when met after mediation at the South Jakarta Police, Friday (11/7/2025).

1. Children Ask About Edward's Existence

Regarding the children who might ask about Edward's existence, Kimberly admits that this does happen. According to her, it is natural for children to still have an attachment.

"Of course they are looking for him. After all, he is their father, they have memories together. They have been with their father since birth," she said.

2. Handing Over an Item to Edward

On the day of mediation, Kimberly was also seen handing over an item to Edward. Although she was reluctant to mention details, she explained that the item indeed belonged to her ex-husband.

"That's his old item that was left with me," she said.

3. Returning Items at Edward's Request

Kimberly also denied that the return of the item was because Edward requested it. She chose to return it because she felt it was not her right to keep it.

"No, I really wanted to return it. It's not valuable, it's not anything really, I just worried that he might need it or something, so I returned what is not mine. That's it," Kimberly clarified.
