Kapanlagi.com - The sad news of Titiek Puspa's passing still leaves sorrow for her colleagues. One of them is senior singer Vina Panduwinata, who admitted she had just met the late artist two weeks ago.
"So indeed Mama Ina knew about it two weeks ago. So, Mama Ina last met her on the 24th, at a breaking fast event with orphans," she said when met at the funeral home on Thursday (10/4/2025).
Vina reminisced about their last meeting as a pleasant moment because the atmosphere was still warm and full of laughter. However, she admitted she did not expect it to be their last farewell.
"It was, it seemed still, still what, full of laughter, joking, but indeed, everything we can never, we can never what, predict like that," said Vina.
After that meeting, Titiek Puspa was reported to have experienced a serious medical condition. Vina mentioned that the late artist underwent surgery due to a ruptured blood vessel.
"It turned out 3 days, if I'm not mistaken, 3 days after that meeting, grandma, if I'm not mistaken, got sick. And then what, underwent, if I'm not mistaken, surgery. Because there was a ruptured blood vessel," she explained.
According to the singer of "Burung Camar", after undergoing medical treatment, Titiek Puspa was indeed made unconscious for her body condition. He said the process was done at the doctor's suggestion.
"After that, it seems like Grandma Titiek was made to be unconscious because that is what her body might need," he said.
Vina sees this situation as a way for God to show His love for Titiek Puspa. She hopes the late artist finds the best place by His side.
"But indeed, we all don’t know, God is too fond of Titiek. It seems like Grandma Titiek was invited back, so she wouldn’t feel any more of the long suffering," said Vina.
She also believes the large number of mourners who came is proof of how much Titiek Puspa was loved during her lifetime. According to Vina, the late artist was indeed very inspiring to many people.
"Masya Allah, please pray that Grandma Titiek can be given the most beautiful place there. Now we all see that so many people came, what can I say, offering extraordinary prayers," she said.
As a fellow singer, Vina admits to learning a lot from Titiek Puspa's career journey. She calls the late artist one of her role models in the entertainment world.
"When it comes to memories, Masya Allah, Aunt Titiek is one of those who also inspired Mama Ina. How we can survive for a long time as entertainers," she said.

In a moment, Vina even expressed her desire to still perform like Titiek Puspa in her old age. She is grateful that this has come true until now.
"Mama Ina once said, 'Aunt Titiek, can I, until this age, still entertain?' And apparently, Alhamdulillah, Mama Ina can do that until her current age," she continued.
Not only that, Vina also considers Titiek Puspa's works to be a great legacy for the younger generation of Indonesia. She hopes that more young people will recognize the contributions of the late in the world of art.
"That’s right, clearly there are many young people, many who don’t know that her works are an extraordinary legacy for our children and grandchildren in the art culture, Indonesian culture," she said.
As a closing, Vina also prays that the late can find the best place by God's side. She also hopes that Titiek Puspa can be recognized as a national hero because of her services.
"Everyone says that she, the late, is a fighter in Indonesian art, Indonesian culture, and God willing, if God allows, there is a great possibility that she can be given an extraordinary place," concluded Vina.
