Year-End Surprise from IM3: Collaboration of The Panturas, Iga Massardi, Lorjhu' and Putra Sriwijaya Present in the Epic Performance 'Irama Pesisir'

Closing this year, a surprise is present for the scene kids because there is an epic collaboration of The Panturas, Lorjhu', Iga Massardi and Putra Sriwijaya in Collabonation X Vol.3 presented by IM3. This collaboration is present in the cool themed performance 'Irama Pesisir'!

1. Amazing Combination of Music and Traditional Arts

If we flashback to the past, every edition of Collabonation X always presents something different. You can also see this directly from Collabonation X Vol. 3 which presents a collaboration concept between the folk rock music group from Madura, Lorjhu, and The Panturas who have a contemporary rock music character. These two bands then merge in a magical performance called 'Irama Pesisir' initiated by Iga Massardi, vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter of Barasuara.

So, what can fans enjoy through this collaboration? 'Irama Pesisir' features the collaborators performing 4 songs, starting from 'Can Macanan' and 'Abhantal Ombak' by Lorjhu, as well as 'Tipu Daya' and 'Tafsir Mistik' which are the works of The Panturas.

Presented against the backdrop of Pantai Anyer's coast, this collaboration also brings together traditional elements. Saronen, which is a traditional musical instrument from Madura, is performed by Putra Sriwijaya.
Not only that, 'Irama Pesisir' also presents various traditional arts such as the Can Macanan dance, which is a type of barongsai dance from Madura. There is also the Hadrah dance, which is a famous combination of Islamic culture from East Java.

2. Showcasing the Identity of Each Musician

For musicians, identity in playing music is important as a distinctive characteristic that sets them apart. Iga Massardi also mentioned that their collaboration creates something unique.

"The Panturas and Lorjhu' are two similar but different entities. Their collaboration is the culmination of two seemingly opposing points that are actually aligned musically. Combining two very different music genres is certainly a unique collaboration process. The resulting work from the combination of traditional Madurese music and folk rock and surf rock with their respective characteristics will definitely bring new surprises to music enthusiasts of all generations. Hopefully, Collabonation X Vol. 3 can take the audience to a new level in enjoying this experimental and exploratory work."

Meanwhile, Badrus Zerman from Lorjhu' also expressed, "We are very inspired by the spirit of fellow musicians who have previously collaborated in previous volumes of Collabonation X. The spirit of collaboration for artistic exploration is contagious, resulting in a different work this time, of course by presenting the collaboration of Madurese music with surf rock genre together with The Panturas."

He continued, "The synergy between local cultures is quite interesting, and we believe that the local content actually becomes more universal and blends together." Hopefully the music performance 'Irama Pesisir' can be accepted by music enthusiasts wherever they are, and we hope that in Collabonation X there will be more collaborations between pop musicians and traditional music, as well as local content packaged with class so that the audience becomes wider and familiar.

3. Enthusiasm in Realizing Dreams

The Panturas, who have an identity as a coastal music band formed in Jatinangor, admit that they are very happy to be able to realize their dream of performing their works on the beach.

"One of our dreams!" said vocalist-guitarist Abyan Zaki Nabilio.

Bassist Bagus Patria Adiputro added, "Since we arrived and saw the stage, it's already really cool!"

The enthusiasm is also evident from the testimony of other members. Like guitarist Rizal Taufikkurrohman who said, "I'm thinking of creating a festival there!". The enthusiasm of these members is also summarized by drummer Surya Fikri Assidhiq who revealed, "Collabonation X combines various artists and seeks a middle ground without changing their respective characteristics. I would be very happy if this project together with Lorjhu is made into a tour!"
