Zaskia Adya Mecca Happy That Her Children Like Michael Jackson's Songs: The Taste Becomes Good

In between dropping them off and taking care of the family, the wife of director Hanung Bramantyo now has a midday break to finish her work. She shared this when met in the Jagakarsa area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (21/7/2026).

"This moment, of course, I will miss it. And now that all the kids are in school, this time is like I have free time until 3 PM every day," said Zaskia.

She added that this new phase makes her work time more regular, although she will still miss the holiday time spent with her children. After school hours, her attention is fully back on the family.

According to Zaskia, when the children are at school, it becomes an opportunity to focus on completing pending work. The daily rhythm is also organized more neatly because there is a specific block of time that can be utilized.

"Well, during the free time when the kids are at school, that’s my work time. Later, when the kids come home from school at 4, I can focus on them," she said.

From her account, the work break she has lasts until around 3:00 PM each day. As it approaches 4:00 PM, she prepares to welcome the kids back and fully shifts her attention to their needs at home.

Apart from work matters, Zaskia still enjoys the daily activity of dropping her kids off at school on a motorcycle. She admits that she often goes back and forth because she has to drop off more than one child at different times.

She mentions that the majority of parents at her children's school use cars. In these moments, she and her child often turn it into a little game to make the journey feel enjoyable.

"But for me, it's fun, especially since 90 percent of the parents at the school drop off their kids by car. So I ask my child, 'How many friends are we racing today?','" said Zaskia, smiling as she shared this.

3. Michael Jackson Becomes a New Idol at Home

Recently, Zaskia's children have also been enjoying the works of Michael Jackson. They often listen to his songs and even imitate the style of the legendary music icon.

"Oh yes, my kids are really into Michael Jackson right now. But for me, it's really exciting because finally, their taste in music is getting better, we know what his songs are like," she revealed.

Zaskia expressed her happiness because her children's music references are expanding and they are getting to know legendary musicians. "So I'm happy like 'Okay, idolizing someone cool'," she concluded.
