First Collaboration between South Korean Musicians and Indonesian Dangdut Singer, Indosiar Wants to Leap Further

Kapanlagi.com - Indosiar television station has just held the Extraordinary 29th Anniversary Concert for two consecutive days. On the second peak night, a highly anticipated new program was launched, which is Dangdut K-Pop 29ther.

Harsiwi Achmad, the director of Surya Citra Media program, revealed that six Indonesian dangdut singers from Indosiar's talent search have recorded together with South Korean musicians. And this exciting process will be aired soon.

"We have successfully recorded with six South Korean artists. The show will start airing on January 20th. It will be broadcasted once a week, and all Indonesian people should watch it," said Harsiwi, interviewed at Studio 6 Emtek City, Daan Mogot area, West Jakarta, on Thursday (11/1/2024).

1. Leap Further

Collaboration with South Korean musicians is the latest leap from Indosiar. After the success of Dangdut Academy Asia, now it's time to embrace the massive K-Pop music market in Indonesia.

"One of the strengths of Indosiar is dangdut music. We have many graduates from the best talent searches of Dangdut Academy and Liga Dangdut Indonesia. And after having Dangdut Academy Asia, we want to leap further with music that is loved by everyone in Indonesia, namely K-Pop," said Harsiwi.

2. Melly Lee's Pride

The Dangdut K-Pop 29ther program will feature collaborations between talent search singers from Indosiar and South Korean musicians. They are Melly Lee with Hui PENTAGON, Afan with Kim Jae Hwan, Selfi Yamma with Donghyuk iKON, Fildan Rahayu with Bang Ye Dam, Lady Rara with Hyuk VIXX, and Sridevi with Kwon Jung Yeol 10cm.

"That's one of the pride. Indosiar never forgets us and always gives extraordinary opportunities," said Melly Lee in a separate interview session.
