The incident was also highlighted by a legal practitioner named Dr. Al Hadi S.H, M.H, who believed that the police's actions were somewhat arrogant when apprehending the suspect. He also stated that the authorities should show identification and an assignment letter before taking any action.

"If we look at the procedure that is being carried out, the arrest process still tends to be arrogant towards alleged drug users and ultimately not proven," said Al Hadi when met in the Tebet area, South Jakarta recently.

"Where we see the initial arrogance in the actions of investigators in carrying out the arrest procedure for alleged criminals, it should show their mission identity. But I did not see that," he continued.

He also regretted that on that occasion, there were also some individuals who were not involved participating in actions that should not have been done. Nevertheless, as a legal practitioner, Al Hadi still appreciates the actions of the police in eradicating drugs.

"These actions are also taken advantage of by certain individuals who are not officials, and this is very regrettable," he said.

"But behind all of that, I really appreciate the actions of the investigators who, indeed, in carrying out drug eradication actions, there is no room for humanity, but operational procedures must still be followed," he concluded.
