Khinan Dangdut Academy 8 Receives Standing Ovation from Dewi Perssik, Lesti is Touched

Kapanlagi.com - Khinan's performance on the Dangdut Academy 8 stage successfully captured the attention of the judges. Performing the song Hujan, the contestant whose full name is Nabila Khinanti Aurelia stood out because she played the saxophone on stage.

From the start, Khinan's performance was introduced as something special. Fildan revealed that this time Khinan brought an instrument she had never played before.

"Next up will be Khinan performing solo. The song is Hujan. There is something special from Khinan, she will play a different musical instrument than before. Usually it's guitar or flute," said Fildan.

Seeing Khinan's performance, Gilang Dirga immediately announced that Dewi Perssik gave a standing ovation.

Dewi Perssik admitted she was immediately captivated by Khinan's performance. According to her, the petite contestant has a lot of talent and looks even more interesting when playing the saxophone.

"I really like it, you’re small, petite. And you’re multi-talented. Petite, still young. And then you bring the saxophone. You bring that, it looks expensive," praised Dewi Perssik.

Although she gave a standing ovation, Dewi still provided some notes. She felt the delivery of the song Hujan still felt too melancholic, whereas she believed the song could be performed with a more cheerful vibe.

"The rain part shouldn’t feel like someone who is very sad. But you’re in love, right? It should be cheerful," said Dewi.

She also hopes Khinan can perform more lively and playfully when singing love-themed songs.

"Mother wants you to be more lively, playful, enjoyable. Not that you’re not enjoyable, okay? I like it. I give you a standing ovation," she continued.

After the performance, Ramzi was curious to see Lesti Kejora's expression, which seemed to be teary-eyed.

"Dede, we want to ask. Were you touched, sad, or what?" asked Ramzi.

"Touched," Lesti replied briefly.

Lesti then revealed the reason behind her emotion. It turns out she knows Khinan by the name Nabila. Moreover, Khinan's father is her comrade when she started her career on the dangdut stage.

"Khinan is someone I know as Nabila. So, Khinan is the child of Uncle Febro from before. When Papa Fildan told me, 'that's Uncle Febro's child'. Really? Then she said, 'Yes, Bunda Lesti, my name is Nabila.' Oh, you've grown up so much," said Lesti.

When Gilang Dirga asked for her full name, Khinan replied, "Nabila Khinanti Aurelia."

Despite receiving some feedback, Khinan's performance still garnered appreciation. Her courage to blend dangdut vocals with saxophone playing became a unique attraction that successfully captured the attention of the judges and the audience.
